Obituary: Ernest J. Moreland 1921 - 2012

 Ernest J. Moreland, 91, of Clarkdale died June 25, 2012. He was born March 21, 1921 in Niagara Falls, New York, the son of John and Henereta Moreland.

He attended Niagara Falls High School.

Mr. Moreland served his country in the Navy in the Construction Batallion ("the Seabees"). He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and in the Phillipine Liberation.

He worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #237 in Niagara Falls as an electrician. He had worked as the General Foreman of the Niagara Hydro Electrical Power Project.

Mr. Moreland was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. His hobbies included bird watching and wood carving.

He leaves two sons Richard Moreland (and his wife Tamara Moreland)and David Moreland; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14 in Cottonwood Village at 5 p.m. VFW Post #7400 will provide military honors.
