Letter: Thanks, Deputy Freeman, for National Night Out

Editor:

For the last few years Deputy Dave Freeman has headed up the National Night Out here in Camp Verde. He has done a great job along with his wife Reggie, manager of Johnny Rockets at the Cliff Castle Casino. They both deserve a big thanks for all their hard work and dedication.

Johnny Rockets donated the hamburger and condiments, Cliff Castle Casino the hot dogs, buns by Aaron Prinpipe, Holsum Bread Distributor, watermelon by Bashas', drinks by Pepsi, cupcakes by Vintage Cupcakes, water and ice from CV Public Safety Association, Bashas', Kiwanis, and Bread of Life.

Participants this year included all the Police and Fire agencies, Forest Service, Town of Camp Verde, with the Library, Road Department and Community Development with Mel Preston entertaining the kids with Paint, and the Kiwanis had their train rides for the kids. The U.S. Marshal's Office had their Bomb Detecting Dog, Yavapai County with Deputy Do Right, Animal Control, Tire Pro Automotive, Forest Service, Old World Gun Store, Copper Star Indoor Shooting Range, KC's Family Tae Kwon Do and KVRD Radio station.

We would like to thank all the participants for keeping us safe and informed. A Big Thank You to all the people who helped set up the tables, chairs, cook and serve the food, and clean up. A special thank you to the Marshal's VIPs, the Kiwanis and various other people who stepped up at the last minute to serve the over 400 people that attended and enjoyed the food. It was a great success bringing the community together. I apologize if I missed anyone, if so it goes without saying, thank you one and all.
